At its meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from September 27 to 28, 2018, the CAFExecutive Committee, chaired by CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, took the following decisions:
Concerning the Total African Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2019, the delegation during the last inspection visit reported on the progress of the work. A visual report revealed a significant delay in infrastructure delivery. has. The final decision will be taken at the end of November, after the last inspection visit in which the audit firm Roland Bergerwill participate. b. Previously, a joint committee of CAF and FIFA will visit Cameroon inOctober to study security issues. vs. The Total Africa Cup of Nations with its new format of 24 teams will be held from June 15 to July 13, 2019. Of the six stadiums required for the competition, four are to be built and two are undergoing major renovations. For Accommodation, three out of five cities do not have the required infrastructure. Total U20 Africa Cup of Nations, Niger 2019 The President ofNiger has confirmed his commitment to the preparations for the competition, during a meeting with CAF President Ahmad Ahmad last September. i. Final date: February 2 – 17,2019 recommended the stadium inspection mission at the end of October 2018 in order to ensure that the prerequisites are met. ii).
The dates of the final round will be discussed with the Ethiopian authorities due to the African Union meetings scheduled at the same time. Qualified teams: Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa andNiger. e. Total U17 Africa Cup of Nations, Tanzania 2019 On behalf of the Tanzaniangovernment, the Prime Minister reaffirmed to CAF President Ahmad Ahmad his willingness to host the tournament and promised efforts in view of an event successful.i. Date of the final: April 14 – 28, 2019 ii. Qualified teams: Angola, Cameroon, Guinea,Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal and Tanzania iii. Final draw: December 20, 2018 inTanzania iv. During the zonal qualifiers, UEFA was involved financially and technically.UEFA technicians were present at all competitions and worked hand in hand with theirFAC counterparts. The goal of zone qualifications is long-term development.
